my approach

i’ve been providing individual, couples, and child and family therapy in community settings since 2016. starting in the Inuit community of nain in northern labrador (nunatisavut), then corner brook, newfoundland. i moved to the west end of toronto in 2022 where i live and work serving adults, families, couples, and teenagers.

i am published in the field of mad studies and practice from this approach - non pathologizing, anti oppressive, a wholeness versus wellness lens.

the majority of my work has been with young adults, teenagers, and their families. regardless of those units’ structures my focus has been relational dynamics and their impacts on our mental health. i interpret unwellness playing a role in individuals, partnerships, and families’ lives with an aim to shift and minimize its role without demonizing it.

i utilize a psychodynamic approach, incorporating emotion focused family therapy, psychodrama for traumatic stress, dyadic developmental psychotherapy, structural family therapy, family systems, cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, and elements of gestalt in my practice.

i provide therapy for dyads, families, and individuals aged 13+ currently in person at the beverley collective and virtually.
